GLOW Initiative: Healthy Weight Loss Challenge

Assalamualaikum and warm greetings,

As in previous years, the Health and Environment Committee is committed to promoting a healthy school community through the continuation of the GLOW initiative. This began with a senamrobik held in February and will continue in the coming months.

We would also like to announce The Healthy Weight Loss Challenge, which already began in February and will conclude in August. We hope this challenge will be approached in a healthy and sustainable manner, particularly by following the 5:2:1:0 guideline, which encourages:

  • 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day
  • 2 hours or less of screen time
  • 1 hour of physical activity
  • 0 consumption of sugary foods or drinks, and instead the habit of drinking 8 glasses of water daily

We hope this challenge will raise awareness in the school community about daily nutrition – not only for better health but also to foster lifelong habits that support a well balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
