In conjunction with our Environmental and Sustainability Week, SMY will be organizing a Fashion Competition using Recyclable Materials for all secondary students. This competition aims to raise awareness about sustainability and encourage creativity through the use of recycled and reused items.
Event: Sustainability Fashion Competition
Date: Thursday, 12 June 2025
Participants: Classes of each Secondary Level
Themes:
- Y7 – Cartoon
- Y8 – Futuristic
- Y9 – Under the Sea
- Y10 – Nature
- Y11 – Pollution to Positivity
Materials: Designed outfits must be made entirely from clean, safe, and reused/recycled materials (e.g. newspapers, plastic bags, cardboard, old fabrics, bottle caps, etc.)
We encourage all students to take part and showcase their creativity while promoting environmental responsibility.
