We are pleased to inform you that the Counseling Unit, Counseling Division, Ministry of Education, will organize the G.I.N.I.S B Program for Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Secondary School.
The G.I.N.I.S program stands for Galas, Insan, Nasionalisme, Intelektual, and Stabil, which replaces the former Counseling Division program. It is a collaboration between government agencies, secondary school counselors, and colleges.
The meanings of the acronym G.I.N.I.S are as follows:
1> Generasi (Generation) – Refers to today’s students and society.
2> Insan (Human Being) – Refers to an individual who is rational, knowledgeable, and educated.
3> Nasionalisme (Nationalism) – Implies loyalty to religion, country, nation, and monarchy (M.I.B: Malay Islamic Monarchy).
4> Intelektual (Intellectual) – Refers to being knowledgeable, educated, and thoughtful.
5> Stabil (Stable) – Refers to being unchanging, strong, and resilient.
This program serves as an early intervention for students in Brunei Darussalam schools to prevent them from being easily influenced by negative behaviors and actions that could adversely affect their academic performance, moral values, and future.
